V8V insurance recommendations
Discussion
Morning All
As a long term watcher and a avid reader of this forum I am seeking your advise on the best/cheapest company to insure a V8V ?
I looked at a few cars and am about to hopefully make a purchase early in the new year.
Any advice would be most welcome and appreciated
Regards
Barrie

I enquirer with admiral as to whether I could choose who repaired my car and advised verbally that it would be no problem. I asked for this to be put in writing but they said they were not prepared to do that - so I stayed with Locktons.
As an aside I have just left Admiral for my two others cars. I had a no adult accident when someone drove in the back of me in October. Renewal was in November and premium went up £300 with no changes to the policy. Firstly could not explain why but when pressed came back to me saying both our cars were now considered to be in a higher risk category. My take was they were trying to recover their losses so one with Aviva and paying less than I did last year. Or am I just a cynic!

Try Alan Thomas insurance, I think RobGT had a very good experience with them with Purdey (RIP
)

They are £30 more than my renewal quote with Aviva, but would prefer the peace of mind

When I recently shopped around I couldn't get a better quote than Admiral multi car. Never had to claim mind!
Another vote for Admiral Multicar. Sometimes for me the Multicar Quote works out well, sometimes it is better individually. But, can't really argue too much with the V8 Vantage and F360 Spider both covered for just under £500.

Thank you Glyn. Yes, Matt Warner at Alan Thomas looked after us - tell him Rob sent you! The actual policy was with Hiscox. It only took 10 days from Purdey (RIP
