Hi all,

I've woken up today and have gone outside to look at my lovely V8 Vantage to find that someone has reversed into it :-(

Gutted really as I've only owned it for 5 months.

I called Grange in Brentwood where I bought the car, but they don't have an in house facility as the cars go to somewhere in Romford.

Can any of you recommend a good (preferably Aston approved) Bodyshop to get this repaired?
I'm in North London near Finchley.

The damage is under the headlight and the fibre glass has cracked (about 4 inches long) so I assume the whole wing will need painting.

Ouch! Sorry to hear of your troubles. I don't have any recommendations but I'm sure the London set will be along shortly to help

The " London Set ".
I quite like that Molly, has a certain ring to it.
Well I am part of the "London Set" ,in fact I live in the same area ( or set ) as the OP so I share an interest in any answers that may be forthgiven .
Unfortunately I cannot help ,but my sincere sympathies to HasanR.
p.s. Hasan try asking on AMOC website, tell them you wear red trousers, that will raise something ,possibly excitement.
Most PH'rs on here cannot afford to live in London.

The only one I can suggest is sl restorations in crawley. Not exactly down the road, but the only one I recommend to people.

Has anyone used them recently?

Hi again,

An update.....I took some photos this morning of the damage which I thought to be minimal, but I have had one quote of around £3k!!
Apparently the front wing is made of a fibreglass composite and they can't guarantee the repair unless they change the wing and spray 4 body panels to match the colour.
They spoke of moisture getting into the white area....

The damage is the width of 4 fingers as you can see, so how much do you think this should cost to fix and paint?
I was hoping around the £400 mark!

Lol - a wing and paint 4 panels will come to over a grand.

You would be just as well off getting Dentmaster or similar out.
Will probably be under £100 and if the water gets in the glass and 'blows', then you've only lost £100 smile

Thanks for your suggestion, but dentmaster is not the answer as the paintwork has cracked.
