I have recently taken out premium extended warranty on my car. (I know there are differences in opinions on the warranty, but if you knew my car over the last 10 months you will know why I have taken it out, anyway I digress)

On the original letter of confirmation (when I purchased the car) it shows the single claim as my purchase price. On the validation certificate, it shows the correct vehicle purchase price and the warranty single claim as £999,999,00.

However, on my new warranty letter of confirmation, it shows the single claim as £8,000 lower than my purchase price, 10 months ago. On the validation certificate it now shows the vehicle purchase price the same as the new letter of confirmation, but the single claim limit is the same as the original validation certificate of £999,999,00.

I am a little confused in fact I am doubly confused

Can anyone explain this? Sorry if this appears straight forward, if it is a matter of they are saying my car is now worth £8,000 less after 10 months, I think they are having alaugh

Thanks for any explanations thumbup

I would imagine the single claim value of 999,999 is in effect just saying that the there isn't one, and that the only limit that applies is the value of the car. I didn't quite follow the other logic but after a 10 months the value of the car could reasonable have dropped hence the lower limit.
