Not quite the advice you asked for but at 10 days only, would this suggest you should contemplate a new battery as well?

Re chargers I think CTEK etc are more intelligent in the way they charge so will recover a dead battery without shocking it.

Maybe someone else with more experience can comment on 10 days being good or bad.

Hope you get sorted.

If your battery is flat after 10 days, you either need a new battery or you have a battery drain problem, a charged battery will stay charged for at least a month no problem, change battery first, see what happens.

All day, but if battery is knackered, its knackered.

At least a day as the charger is as described, a trickle charger so will not put the amperes into the battery it needs to boost it from flat.

I just installed one of the new AGM 92A Gel batteries from Duracell in my car but still leave the maintenance charger on it.

I concur. My car sits for a month at a time when I'm overseas and I've so far never had to charge the battery. Always starts without issue.

Just bought Bosch 5S 5013 Silver, Costco's £105.00 inc vat should do the trick.....

Thats a standard lead acid battery, not an AGM. Totally different. That has 1/3 of the durability and has no deep cycle performance of the AGM Duracell Extreme.

The whole point of an AGM in the Aston is it can be recharged from totally flat, the plates will not buckle.

If you just wanted a cheap 019 battery, then GSF, Euro Car Parts or Halfords are the cheapest.

Should do, but do not let it go flat. Thats exactly the same battery I just took out of my car at 11 months old from GSF car parts and after leaving my lights on all night by mistake, the battery would not recharge. Lost the original receipt, so could not try a warranty claim.

That prompted me to opt for the gel AGM battery this time with the deep cycle capability.

Just took old battery out and it was a 90AH not 100AH, may have something to do with draining quickly, not sure...

No Graham, thats correct, the original battery would have been a 90Ah. You are installing a bigger battery rather than removing an undersized battery.

Did that make sense????? he he.
