This maybe old news, but might be interesting to someonecoffee

Found this this morning on MSN about best and worst cars etc.

"The Aston estate is back

We’d seen a Vanquish shooting brake from Bertone in 2004, with its Jet 2; this year the Italian coachbuilder created a sequel, with its Rapide-based Jet 2+2. Commissioned by a wealthy collector, there was talk of more examples being built, but things have now gone quiet on that front."

I have never been an admirer of Aston Martin estate cars.

To me an Aston is either a sports car or a racing car.

I can see the merit in this car.
If it is a proper adult 4 seater with luggage space it would surely have a market.
I would suggest it might be more useful than the Rapide which doesn't quite have adequate rear seats for adults on a long journey and appropriate luggage space.
At the moment it's either a Maserati Quattroporte, Bentley GT or Porsche Panamera.
I have a DB9V and despair at the silly rear seats.

No 'silly rear seats' for me (V8V).

Just one passenger in a sports car, is how it should be.

I wonder when George invites his barmaid for a ride, whether he says, "Only room for one passenger, my car has silly rear seats". -> smile

I have 3 daughters so it would be nice to be able to take at least 2 of them out in the Aston .
Surely George's barmaid could sit in the front seat, although thinking about it the only birds George could pull would be so pug ugly they might be better off in the back. laugh

An Estate isn't the same as a Shooting Brake.

Estates are 4 doors, Shooting Brakes 2.

Right, so this Lagonda Rapide Shooting Brake is in Lagonda Rapide Estate?

It would be unbelievably cool to just lug stuff like that around in the back of one.

Maybe a Labrador in the back too.

Isn't a brace rather greedy?
