.... So the next step on my little 10 year plan has been fulfilled. After 20 joyous months with our V8V, the space in the garage has just been filled by a rather fine V12V.

Can't wait for some rather better weather to enjoy it!

Thanks to all your advice Paul

"Can't wait for some rather better weather to enjoy it!" Better weather, really, get in it, drive it and get it dirty yes

I have had the same thought over the months I have owned my car, can't wait for better weather to driver her. Well as long as it isn't snowing, or pcensoredg down with rain, get her out and about and enjoy her. So she gets dirty, wash her once every two weeks instead of every week, just leave her dirty for a while longerhehe

So your thread heading is "You are only here once....." I totally agree with you, so if that is your philosophy, you should be out driving her no matter what the weather is (a part from snowing, or pcensoredg down with rain of course thumbup)

I have been out in mine today and she is filthy at the moment thumbup in fact went to fill her up and some woman at the pump next to me (in a Merc saloon) said "do you want to swap", I politely declined and smiled at her biggrin

Just enjoy your car, you never know what tomorrow will bring..........driving

A V8V isn't a car, it's a toy........a V12 instantly elevates it to a proper car smile

I understand now, you are one of those kids where the size of his "toy" matters smile

Lovely looking car.

Would be interested in your thoughts on the differences between the V8 and the V12 once the rain stops and you can start using it properly.

I was out following Drew in his V12 Vantage the other day and the noise of the thing is astounding. I think he has had a quick silver back box fitted. Wonderful popping and snorting even at low revs. I wonder if you can make a V8 sound like that.

It's a standard back box with quicksilver 200 cell cats. There have been a few V8 owners on here, that have modified their exhausts to get the pop and banging on over run. Can't beat the sound of any V8 on full revs. Yours will be louder than you think Darren, you just need it to overtake you!

Hi Darren
From one of the recent threads the exhaust on the 4.7 V8 is the quietest one out of the V8,s. Some 200 cell cats would make a difference along with the rear box off a V8VS which is apparently the loudest one.

Well if you speak to any lady....the size of ones toy is very important.......but it's not the size it's the number of cylinders

Coming from a man who has owned many vehicles with 6 and 8 cylinders in the past I thought you would have realised its how you use them not how many you have got smile
Happy New Year to you and the rest of the Aston/PH madhouse.

PS As and when I persuade the boss to let me have a V12V I am sure I will be posting the same as you but until then I must champion the cause of the under endowed.
