Buy a V8 Vantage - done! Now the very happy owner of a 2009 4.7 in Meteorite Silver (apologies to the greyophobic smile). Only a few hours in but loving it so far, makes a great noise when wound up biggrin. Lots of toys, the original purchaser seems to have ticked pretty much every box on the options list - sportpack, premium audio, memory seats with heating and lumbar support, front parking sensors, powerfold mirrors, autodim rearview, cruise control, HID headlamps, stone guards, bright finish grille. I think the sportpack wheels look great.

Car is feeling a bit camera shy after 100 miles in the rain to get home, so will have to settle for some pics from the dealer's ad for now.

Now that is what you call a New Years resolution, enjoy even though it's grey, only kidding smile.

I still say that a "sill-less" V8 is such a pure design. Perfect! Congratulations and enjoy!

Lovely car John. My previous Vantage was Meteorite and it's a great colour.

Thanks all. Glad I'm not the only one that prefers the car without the sills, less is more and all that.

I checked with AM works about getting the front/rear camera retrofit done on the car. Quite the bargain, they only want £4k to do it yikes now in touch with James H-R...

The first incarnation of the vantage is definitely the best looking, no cills and better wheels

Congratulations John.

The initial thrill of ownership does not wear off.

I am also a fan of the original 'classic' smooth sill design. It helps to emphasise the wide rear track (from a front three-quarter view). Well I would say that, mine is the same model year as yours (laid up for the first time this winter).

Enjoy, you will.

I'm going to join this MY2009 Vantage love-in too hehe

Great car with a great spec John, I'm sure you'll love it as much as I love mine.

I cannot see the entire shape of your beautiful radiator grille, Pete.

I like originality, but my exception is that numberplate blob on the front. I think the Vantage is probably the only AML model to have it.

(Pete. Just my own opinion. It might have been you in a previous topic, who liked it as parking protection.)

I think that the original look with red lights, smooth sills and the original shells was a great looking car (with dark-ish paintwork, red lights in pale looks odd).

That's obviously why I got one with sills, sport pack wheels and clear lights then wink

Many congratulations! I, too, think the original Vantage design is the best looking.
