Can anyone with a new Vanquish give me some guidance on the B&O audio settings.

What should the bass, treble, balance, fader etc be set to.

How to clear out the stored radio station favourites that I don't want. It's not clear in the handbook how to do this.

I have sussed the deleting the unwanted favourites, you hold the enter button in for a few seconds, it then prompts if the station is to be deleted.

Good tip re holding the button to delete station - took me a while to find that!

I tried various settings on a journey and ended up with Bass +2 with all other settings neutral and the sound focus to Auto for best results. The automatic sound focus definitely works - there is a distinct difference between when I am in the car alone and with a passenger.

If you find any useful tweaks please post.

Thanks Adam, my MW & LW appears not to be working, I can't get any stations.
Can you check yours.

Next question, I don't get a chime when I store a passenger seat memory setting, is yours the same.

I can get MW & LW by pressing the Radio button on the facia when I am already in the Radio menu on the screen which then cycles through the bands and I receive stations on the list though have to confess that I have never "tuned in" to any of them - will try next time I am out in the car.

I don't get a chime when I store drivers seat settings but I do when passenger settings are stored - the only confirmation when the drivers seat memory is stored is on the digital info centre inset to the rev-counter (right hand dial).

Let me know if this requires any further explination.

How are you enjoying the car?

Hi Adam

I only get the chime and the message when I store the drivers seat memory.
No chime or message with the passenger seat, but it appears to be storing the seat settings, the exact opposite to you !!

I can also get the LW and MW bands, but it wont tune in any stations. This may be because the car is in the garage.

The battery runs down very quickly playing with the radio and satnav without the engine running, a few minutes only before the low battery warning is displayed, is yours the same. I have looked at the battery and it is very small.

Only picked it up on Thursday, so not really driven it much yet. I'm cleaning and fetteling it a bit.

The door chime discrepancies are a good example of the vagaries of hand built cars (though electronics, I would have assumed, should have been consistent).

Took the car out today and my MW and LW are working fine - picked up and listened to several stations whilst driving as a test.

I have not looked at the battery but assume you are referring to it being small in terms of dimensions as 90 AmpHours is quite a meaty specification for a car.

Enjoy the polishing and fettling on your car (which BTW is 6 days younger than mine!).

Are you going to Rockingham on the 21st of March 2014 - looks like it will be an interesting day.

Kind regards,

Adam

Hi Adam

Unlikely I will be going to Rockingham, too far away for me.

The battery appears not to be faulty, it has charged up and tests fine. I think the car systems use a lot of battery power, if you ignore the low battery warning, it soon runs down enough not to be able to start the engine.

I have approached a UK luggage company (Rolling Hills) to see if they will produce storage bags to fit in the recess either side of the boot floor. There is nowhere to store bits and pieces, I can't abide stuff rattling around loose. Not much room inside the car either, not even a glove box. Aston don't appear to have much available yet for this car. I will keep you posted of any developments if you are interested.

Mine is not the same - yesterday I was in the car for 20 minutes with engine off, side lights on, display raised on a phone call the entire time and no battery warning light. Might be worth getting that looked into.
