Are there any small drivers here? How do you cope?

This weekend, my five foot two friend got in to drive, raised the seat all the way, pulled it forward quite a bit. Apart from this looking a bit weird to me, she still couldn't see the rear view mirror properly. Had to raise herself off the seat to see, which isn't practical. Oddly, this hasn't happened before in other cars, the Aston's rear view mirror seems to have limited moveability. Anyone else had this?

Jockman will be your man to speak to. He had to drive his DB9 with a booster seat and platform shoes IIRC.

/pedant/ wouldnt that be discrimination rather than racism? Last i check small people weren't a different race?

Wife is 4'11 and not allowed to drive anything interesting on experience days, she really wants a go in an R8 and an Aston but they wont let her despite having had a licence for years and driving a car everyday frown

Oi - you should stick to your 3 wheeler!

PS I have no problem with driving position but I am taller than quite a number of forum members I've met (especially Jockman yes - BTW anyone know what's become of the small blue one lately?)

My wife has to use a seat booster to drive and prefers using it when a passenger too. It's an orthopaedic wedge shaped thingy cos she didn't want one from Mothercare. rolleyes

She's 5ft 1 in, but to be honest my heart is in my mouth the odd occasion she drives the Vantage, I'd rather she stuck to her Boxster!

Lady S is vertically challenged and whilst she always moans that she can't drive the MG comfortably there's never a hint of a problem when I suggest she drives the Aston confused

I'm also vertically challenged at only 5'-1" but I do manage to see through the rear view mirror OK.
However I just thought about this -

Can be swivelled to see to the rear.

My better half is 5' 1.5". To save her the potential embarrassment of being vertically challenged when driving my Aston I took the brave decision not to insure her for it..
