Went to the Autosport event at the NEC on Saturday and decided to take the plunge and buy a dashcam.

Have tried to research in the past but wasn't able to reach any conclusions. We spoke to the guy from Roadhawk who demonstrated several cameras. We decided that the Roadhawk HD was best one and made the purchase.

We bought all the attachments so they would fit in several cars which means we don't need a camera for each.

Just wired up in daily driver and must say am very impressed with sound and picture quality.

There are several settings that allow for length of recording, looping so that if you have say 1 min time intervals it will join the recordings automatically, brightness, contrast and other useful settings.

Even has GPS so this records speed, even has a location map so you can record the roads and locations of where you have been.

Have different power connections to hard wire in the Aston which I will do when I get back from my holidays.

Up to now, very impressed driving

Bet the BinB would like to get a look at that if you get stopped!

SIM card out = no record.

The potentially GPS damning feature can be turned off by not connecting the GPS up - could be handy for the more amorous owners hehe

Any dashcam is potentially damning as it's not rocket science to pick out road markings and set a time against them!
