As well as taking the odd picture, occasionally I like to make short films. This is my first with the DBS. Hope you like it. smile

Stunning car and really liked the filming too - really clever framing especially the shots through the wheel where you can then see the ceramic disc
thanks

Really liked it. Excellent work. My wife is a photographer who started out in film and telly years ago and she loved it as well. And she really does know her stuff! Any more closet film directors out there? Let's see what you can do so we can all admire your P&J.

Couldn't decide what was better - your filming skills (thoroughly enjoyed that) - or your flying skill on BF4!!! I used to do something similar for a living… but never got away with some of those moves!!! Thanks for the post… clap

Great video, are you using a slider for the tracking shots?

Great film Andrew. I did like your surprise ending just as the engine fired.

I have video cameras, but my attempts to make films from behind the drivers shoulder in my Vantage have failed. I cannot find a way of mounting the camera firmly. Obviously do not want to damage any trim.

That central position is some distance, from anything that could possibly be used to mount a camera support. Do you have any suggestions please?

I like it smile
Given that I'm porno pete I also like to make short films. Unfortunately none are permitted for sharing on here so your imagination will have to run there my friend.
In the years to come do you anticipate _AJ_ will progress to _BJ_ ?

Haha, I'm not sure where this thread is going, but I like it.

Jon39 - When the roads dry up a little, I'm going to be facing a similar dilemma. I have a GoPro 3 that I will need to mount, ideally showing some of the dash as well. Or it may just go on the windscreen. Either way I'll let you know if any bright ideas come to light. They rarely do though.

I am yes, one of the older Glidetrack ones.

Very impressive, there was a slight wobble on one of the vertical tracks but otherwise nicely done. Must get round to getting one of these, I did have a go at making one a while back, but underestimated how smooth the movement needs to be to get a professional result.
Superb little vid.

There were no vertical tracks, the wobble would have been handheld wink You're quite right though, it has to be a very well machined bit of kit to get the right effect.

AJ/Jon39, this was my attempt at mounting the gopro using a Manfrotto clamp and extension arm, I need to have a bit more of a play yet as I couldn’t get the exposure correct. The clamp set-up could be reversed to mount on the opposite side, and most importantly it doesn’t mark the strut surface.

Thanks again everyone, well chuffed. 300 odd views already as well which is good going for me.

Is that a Vantage? That's a very handy strut that I don't have. frown

Exposure will be a nightmare because it'll adjust to the cabin I'm guessing.

Yes V8V.

I need to experiment with the different exposure modes on the camera, also I didn't actually notice how steady the image was. It feels reasonably solid, but it would be better if it didn't need so many swivel joints.
