My Vantage has aftermarket HID dipped bulbs installed. I've been informed that without auto wash this would fail an mot.
(It has passed 2 whilst in my possession and at least 2 with the former keeper). I think I've seen this topic on here before.

Is it a section of cable and of course halogen dipped bulbs that I need to become legal again. Answers please

I think you'll be fine. Just make sure you have a reasonable tester.

wouldnt worry about it

but yes, most of these HID kits are plug n play, so you just unplug the starter box and HID and plug back in to original loom into OE bulb holder

I had similar on a previous car and currently on one of my bikes...and no issues with MOTs ever
