Quite a frightening bit of road on which to drive quickly!

Was he trying to do a good time? Looked like too much wheelspin, too much drifting, and perhaps not very accurate. Also, if he drove the cars in the order shown, he may have been finding out better where to find the grip on each subsequent run.

Enjoyed that. I do like that colour on the v12vs , not so keen on the winter wheels though.
Thanks.

Would like to see a repeat in the dry with an F-Type R coupe and a Z06 against the V12 S. Might as well add in some kind of ubiquitous 911.

It will have been filmed over several runs with the drifting put in for effect. If you look at the sky/weather, its different at various stages of each complete run. He will have done a sensible timed run in each car.

Are those the winter wheels? They don't' look like my winter wheels. The car was all over the place for the first section. Are we sure it wasn't on Corsas?

I also think they are not winter wheels, but it does look like it was on proper tyres smile

They are not the normal wheels for the V12S are they?
Plus they look smaller to me , more like the wheels from the V8. ?

Yup, they are not the V12VS wheels - neither std or lightweight. They appear to be the current std V8V wheels, so its reasonable to assume this has been done to facilitate winter tyres.

(Pause the video at 1:34 for the best point to view the wheels)

Even with winter tyres fitted are you saying they could not get the back out, with all that power iam sure you could.

I'm not saying that. I can certainly unstick my car's rear end at the moment with winter tyres

Strange choice. Straight PZero's would have worked better in those conditions imo, wonder what the other cars were on...

Those whees are the V8 S wheels which I believe are a bit narrower than the V12's The tires are 10MM smaller (f & r) r too. I haven't spotted my first Vette yet here in NJ… But that will change when the weather improves. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to drive the Vette, 911 and the Jag back-to-back in May when I attend Autoweek Magazines drivers camp in California.

Meh.
Interesting to see, but in the end the editor's cut and driver can make anything happen especially considering who sponsored the vid in the first place…

I'm sure the V12V's 'off' and inevitable spin/panic/recovery at 2:07 wouldn't have any bearing on the results

For anyone who doesn't know the driver, here's a vid of his new record there in 2012.

Agree would have been much more representative in dry, it's a scary track in the wet and Anthony never lacks commitment, he's always on the limit. He was presumably asked to do some tail-out and doughnut shots as they're de-rigeur for Goodwood, but presumably separately from the 'timed' runs.
