has anyone been able to:

1. retro fit the sport button for the more responsive throttle mapping from the V8S in a V8V?
2. retro fit the sport exhaust from the V8S into a V8V?

If so, who did it and how much did it cost?

Thanks.

Isn't the sport exhaust only different in the backbox?

I think it's more or less the same as the N400 one. Really just louder, and marginally less back pressure.

It is the back box but not same as the N400 Karl Franz did some good research on part numbers (just can't seem to find it! frown )

OP any back box i a straight forward swap
The Sport button is a different matter
I've not seen any one retrofit it
However a certain indie can remap the throttle and can switch maps on the throttle.
It might be simpler to stretch to an S though wink

on a new Vantage Roadster, V8S is £10k more than V8.

Once you add essentials (1) on a V8 that are standard on a V8S, the V8S is around £6,400 more .. which is a lot for "Sport" button.

(1) Sat nav, blue tooth and cruise: £2585
Sport exhaust: £995

Of course, V8S also has clear rear lights (am fine with red lights, and in some ways, prefer them), carbon fibre front and rear diffusers (not a big deal for me) and the extra 10hp and 20NM torque (doubt I will notice this in a manual car).

Used V8s tend to not have the Sports exhaust fitted.

The only way I can see of adding a "Sport" button on a new V8 is to spec Sportshift II (which I don't want).

We never did clear that up!
I was under the impression you got the "sport" button on a manual S

Can't see it
The sport button is top far left from the engine start button on the V8 & V12S and ASM2 SP10's (nothing there on the manuals)
The bottom 4 are pen, fog light, park sensors and traction control

SPORT button is on bottom row, extreme right. There isn't the pen hole. Freeze video at 2:14 .. it's traction control, park sensors, fog light, SPORT button

I did in full screen
Just done it again and it does look like the glass sports button (I notice the seats have Vantage S on them)
So it's not linked to ASM
I couldn't see why it should be as it is a map switch for the throttle pedal

Sport button on the V12V changes throttle map and lowers the revs when the exhaust valves open. On a manual V8VS I assume that is all it does also. On an ASM II though I was told it also sharpens up the gear changes. Is that not the case then?

SP10 is a V8S special edition, so has all V8S bits and more

I can't say I've noticed any difference to the changes on mine, but apparently others have wink

I know, AM usually stick the Ltd Edition names on the seats
It was also the "stealth" release of the manual S

The 2014 V8 Vantage with manual transmission has a sport button on the console replacing the pen. It must have been a late addition since some early 2014s didn't have it but a retro fit was sent to dealers to add it. Since it was added the interesting question is could it also be added to the 2013 and 2012.25 V8 Vantage manuals which are essentially the same car. I'm sure it also includes some change to the ECU to remap the throttle and open the exhaust valve earlier.

For thise of you that want to retain the pen here is the solution on my "special edition" wink

Of course you can't have the sport button up there all by it's own, so it does mean you have to have adjustable dampers fitted too biggrin
