Sadly I have some chips on my beautiful morning frost white V12V which need to be removed. The expert judgement of Francis is that a proper bodyshop job is needed. Grange Welwyn use Fix Auto in Stevenage as their bodyshop so I am planning to get them to do it. Wondering whether any of you have experience of their work and can recommend one way or the other. If concerned about saying anything defamatory online feel free to send me an email.

Thanks for any useful input.

I've used Fix Auto. They have the highest level accreditation for AM repairs and work I've had done was first rate.

Many thanks for that. Has anyone else had contact with Fix Stevenage?

Used them a few years back, I would avoid like the plague. They accepted no responsibility whatsoever for very dodgy work.

Chiltern Aston - cheaper than Works Service and Works themselves use them when they're busy.

Fix Auto Stevenage resprayed a front wing for me when the lacquer started peeling off (apparently not covered by warranty) and did a good job although there was plenty of masking tape still hanging off the underside when the vehicle was returned (make of that what you will).

They have also resprayed the door handles when the ever popular bubbling paint problem occurred; the driver side was fixed after two attempts but the passenger side is bubbling again after attempt number three. If it wasn't covered by an ongoing 12 month workmanship warranty then I would take it elsewhere; that said it might be easier to get it fixed for good elsewhere anyway!

They did my bumper and the lacquer was peeling off after they finished the job, the bloke came out and basically told me to get some wet and dry and rub it down myself. They also scratched my interior door grab, they said it was very soft paint handle and proved this by scratching it some more. I complained to Aston martin and heard nothing. I just gave up in the end.
