Hi Everyone,

I'm new to PH, and thought to post a pic of one of the cars in the stable and say hello..

It's a triple green DB9 Volante. Aston Green body, Parliament green hood and interior, with silver stitching.

I live on the Monterey Peninsula in California. (Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach, Laguna Seca etc..)

Best Regards,

Richard

welcome along. Its amazing how actual sunlight makes the colours look different to what they would look like over here. Not jealous of where you live at all......

Ahem,

Not trying to brag about the area, I just happen to live here.. Yes, it's great, and I can't complain, as there are worse places one could live.. smile

Thanks for the compliments on the car, I am enjoying it immensely... I had to have it once I found out it was Aston Green... I've not seen another Aston Green DB9 Volante yet, I have seen BRG, Almond Green, and Pentland. I almost bought a BRG with Saddle interior and manual trans, but this car presented itself, and I love the darker interior, so it won out over the manual trans BRG I was going to buy.. The rest as they say, is history..

Merci, Danke, Gracias, et al.. smile

As requested, here are a few of the interior..

I've not seen any Aston Martin, of any model, in Aston Green. Probably it's a one of one.

Hi, I'm checking with the factory to see if it's a 1/1 with the colour combination, as I know it was a special order from the window sticker and discussions with the original selling dealership. As mentioned prior, I have seen many CA Sage, Almond, Pentland, BRG,Chiltern green, etc., but not an Aston Green DB9 Volante. (Actually, not entirely true, as I think the Centennial Zagato DB9 volante 1/1 is Aston Green, but that's not exactly a DB9 after all the Zagato modifications.....)

With that said, I would guess I must be fortunate to know someone who has several models of Aston Green cars, so I have seen a few in person, and the colour is very different in person than in pictures.

Best Regards,

R

Thanks for the mad house welcome!

The weather can be "decent" here, wink even if it's currently an English summer, and I had only two topless days in the past five.. smile

About the UK bit, I'll reserve one of the "closed" cars for the trip to Skegness.... biggrin

Pretty sure that Zagato is either Racing Green or Aston Martin Green...I'll try to find out.

Hi & welcome

Lovely car. Something of the Gentlemans' Club about that interior (in a good way, not that I am familiar with such surroundings!) smile

It would be interesting to know.. Do you know the owner of the Zag?

I did find out that it is one or the other color (or a close custom variant), but definitely not Aston Green. This comes from the owner's car/racing manager. I've spoken a couple times to the owner, but mostly to his manager. If I can get a more definitive answer regarding color, I'll let you know. The owner not only has this Zagato, but also a DB4 GT Zagato, and he was a financier behind the DB7 Zagato as well. So you could definitely call him a big time Aston aficionado.

Small world..

I've known that family for years, and the owner of the DB4GTZ was my inspiration for buying my DB9V in Aston Green. Funny you mention this on PH, because I just told him yesterday that I got it.

With respect for the privacy of friends, I'll leave their details out of the public forum.

Best Regards,

Richard
