Has anyone an Aerial for a 06 V8V just the Antenna? I took it off the other day to put cover on and cut a long story short, I drove over it and is now mullered. Pm me or reply with costs if you have one lying in a drawer.

I replaced my factory mast with a discreet matt black stubby from Ebay for under £20. No idea why I did it, just because I could I suppose, but I do now prefer the look of the smaller one.

Did that make any discernible difference to the radio reception?

Does it matter which 65mm Stubby you buy, or is there a specific one to get?

I take it you just unscrew the old one etc?

You got a link to where you got yours from?

It shows the measurements further down and they all match up. The only problem is that they advertise it as an Aerial for a Skoda, I wont tell anyone if you don't.....

If you have now fitted an aerial from a Skoda then you might get Taxi bookings now?

I can't remember the exact one I bought, but it was similar to the one shown in the Ebay link above. Mine came with a small, threaded adapter insert, so it would suit more than one size base. I suspect most of them are like this.

Got my aerial today biggrin

Unscrewed the aerial from my car to discover the length of the thread on the stubby is too long mad

The 5mm male thread is right, but the length is too long. grumpy

I have put the base of the threads together at the same height in the below.

Or a hacksaw. Nice and gentle, let the blade do the work. Shouldn't be a problem.
