i'm sure you probably didn't mean anything by it but, as we say in the photography field: you wouldn't tell a baker "Nice cake. What kind of oven do you use?"Still, as we say in the ordinary human field, "I'm glad I'm not you"

I'll bet nobody else in the 'photography field' ever says anything so horribly pretentious and irrelevant.
Still, as we say in the ordinary human field, "I'm glad I'm not you"
Maybe you didn't get the point. That being that it is a bit insulting to a photographer to attribute all his beautiful work to the equipment used rather than to their talent. I'm sure Michelangelo's paintings weren't beautiful due to the type of brushes he used.Still, as we say in the ordinary human field, "I'm glad I'm not you"

Let me correct myself:
What a set of well composed pictures!
Who took the pictures? And what camera and lens did he use to turn the beautifully composed pictures into these very sharp images?

All jokes aside, stunning pics. I am just doing photography courses and bought a new cam, and have a general interest in good quality cams & lenses as a novice.

Great pictures Andrew and your car looks stunning.
I spotted the subtle reference with the Company name.
Do you think that your car might be te only Silver Birch DBS in the UK?
We mentioned a while ago about in-car filming, and the difficulty of mounting a camera. I am womdering if a GoPro Hero 3 Black might be a good start to trying to capture the sound and vision of Aston Martin driving. Do you have any advice for me?

Look at OP's website. Marvellous photography, both still and video.
Jon.

Thanks folks!
To answer a couple of the (controversial?) photography related questions; Camera is a 1DX, and lenses were 24-70 f4 L IS USM for the wider shots, and the 70-200 f2.8 L IS II USM (which is fantastically sharp) for the rest.
I'm more than happy to tell people what I've used. To be honest this little shoot was very rushed, and I was shooting in the worst possible way for many of the pics, ie into the shade on a very bright sunny day. This has resulted in some of the shots bordering on the over-processed HDR look (I think personally), so all in all not my best work.
Never the less, the car never fails to look awesome, and I can't stop taking it's picture. I would love for it to be the only Silver Birch, but I can't seem to get any information on the likelihood of any others.
I've tried recently with a gopro black, but the sound was pretty poor, so I think I'm going to have to record sound separately. I'm just not sure where is best to locate the mic just yet. The footage looked brill, it's an excellent bit of kit.

Cracking phots AJ, beautiful car and a very shiny Dauphin. Not my favourite helo, but looks great in the pictures.
Bins, I knew you would come in on this one!!! I helped buy some of these for us... if only I'd known your thoughts in advance
Great to see some more photos and the car is looking stunning - still. It makes the aircraft look rather dated and gaudy! Totally unfair!!!

Jon.
The Go Pro Hero3 Black is excellent. I use a wind screen sucker mount to hold it in place and it stays quite steady. You would need the 'Skeleton' rear housing so the noise gets to the microphone as the normal 'watertight' housing shields the noise. You can get external clip on microphones if you want. I will have one fitted for Rockingham.
I have a 9 minute 'Go-Pro' video of Adrian taking me around the 'Bamford Loop' when I collected Blofeld but I don't know how to upload it as the file is quite big.
