Tyres for my DB9
Discussion
Advice please, my DB9 eats tyres, I don't do track days and don't really drive particularly fast, certainly not wheel spins. The Bridgestone's, which are the factory fitted tyres only seem to last about 5,000miles, does anyone have experience with a harder rubber that would give more wear?

Are they wearing evenly, perhaps you need an proper alignment / geometry check.
I would expect more miles than that, I know of a Vanquish that has just had the rears replaced at 9500 miles.
Oh I'd most certainly get a geo check done I would expect more miles than that, I know of a Vanquish that has just had the rears replaced at 9500 miles.

I got over 16,000 miles out of the very same make of tyres

Either you are particularly heavy on the accelerator and brakes or the geometry is seriously out. If your car is a manual - how's the clutch? If that's a bit knackered then you may be fiercer with it than you think. Please don't take that personally, but you will have to check every possible eventuality as tyres should last a lot farther than 5000 miles unless you are in the habit of attending track days (which you say isn't the case). Have you any idea on your consumption? Again if it's particularly low it would indicate a heavy right foot. Also - rub your hand over the tread of each tyre - if there is any 'feathering' then that would be an indication of incorrect geometry. Do get it sorted otherwise the car certainly isn't right and could behave strangely if pressed.
