Went shopping in Newport Pagnell yesterday and bought this!

After much deliberation on which Vantage I should buy from Roadster V8V, Roadster V8VS, V8VS Coupe, Manual or Sportshift...I finally took the plunge and bought a manual SP10 Coupe. She was picked up late yesterday afternoon from Aston Martin Works in Newport Pagnell. Like all SP10's she is Ceramic Grey, interior is Obsidian Black, Alcantara steering wheel and seat centres, 700W Premium Audio...with DAB!
The drive home was very short but pleasurable! Planning to take her out later today now the sun is shining for a proper blast.

Whilst writing I have got to mention the fantastic crew in AMW, especially Simon the sales guy. He has been with Aston Martin for a long time. Initially working and building the cars when they were built here in NP and his infectious enthusiasm for the brand is unbelievable. He was instrumental in selling the brand and especially it's image to my wife who was rather "reluctant" to be seen driving an Aston at first due to what she envisaged people would think!

So, it is welcome to the world of Aston Martin ownership and all that comes with it. Here are a few pictures of her in the garage. I promise some better ones when I take her out.

Good question Ed...I was going to buy the Roadster but to cut a long story short, I saw this SP10 in our local AMW showroom and well just liked it!

Very nice, I think the SP10 is the best looking Vantage to date. The new 430 just looks a bit downmarket with all that lipstick etc.

Is SP10 production now finished, it appears to be off the AM website now.

I don't know why they don't put a small SP10 badge after Vantage on the rear. It's on a small plate under the bonnet, not exactly visible...!
