Main dealers.

One has just lost my current business, and my future business (a deposit placed last year to have the first of the next Vantage whenever it comes out) because they refuse to stop my V12V squealing like a bus by changing the rear pads. They've just had the car and cleaned the existing pads and claim to have bedded them in. Started squealing less than 2 miles on the way home. I'd already asked them for the softer pads I know they've done for many.

There's many other little things up to this point as well, but that's the main thing.

I've already made the call and I think you can take a stab at who I'll be going to to fix my problems despite having a warranty. I'd like to actually have it done properly.

This is why I only use independent garages now and have done for ages...... Better service all round... My final decision on this was made after Lancaster Reading made a complete hash of my car when it went in for replacement rear lights under warranty... Oh and a fuel leak that they said did not exist?? LOL....... Glad my car is out of warranty period.... smile

You may find that softer pads will not be the answer to squealing brakes. I understand it's the dust so I changed the standard pads on my DB7 to EBC Redstuff and that sorted it almost immediately. They do need to be run-in carefully - they are harder and give off much less dust which is good news too. You may not get Redstuff for your car so look for harder pads. Good luck!
