DBS Volante

Guys/gyals a friend is looking to sell their DBS Volante soon and asked me about prices. It is a 2011 Volante with only 6k miles. As far as Im concerned the car looked brand spanking new inside and out as you would expect from a 6k mileage car garaged all it's life! It had Brembo discs (unless than is standard on the DBS). Thoughts on the price?

Someone offered him 90k which I thought was too low? Do a lot of DBS's get sold though?

I suggest that your mate has a look on Autotrader. There are currently 16 DBS Volantes for sales with prices ranging from £95k to £126k.

Stratstones are selling a very similar car (2011, black, 7k miles) for £121k: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

The £95k car is also a private seller (although the car has an AM Warranty until March 2015), is also 2011 but is a Carbon Black model with 25k miles: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

So a price somewhere between the two would be realistic: £110k.

dealer will probably offer around the 90k mark as its a great time to be taking into stock......he will knock it out at 115k.....so private sale ask 105k

Wow hefty mark up! If anyone if looking for one, it may end up going to a dealer soon otherwise...

I guess they take slightly more time to sell than a DB9/V8 which Im sure get marked up circa 5-10k?

Stunning car, probably quite desirable.

Get a price from a few AM dealers, good way of gaging current values especially with summer approaching a good time to sell a cab.

Once you get a price from the dealer, why not publish it on this forum. You may be lucky to get a private buyer offering a few thousand above the dealer price...just a thought

Im not sure Im allowed to do that am I? Well its supposedly worth circa £110-115k according to knowledgable Aston users, and he has an offer of £95k...so if anyone wants what I can only describe as a near brand new DBS Volante quickly before it goes...
