I am considering having paint protection film on my white Vantage S roadster and this has somehow lead me to think about whether to add stripes to it! I've always loved the Gulf blue and orange colour scheme so another option could be a full wrap... Has anyone got any photos of a striped Vantage? Feel free to shoot me down in flames for having no taste shoot

Gulf Colour Astons

There's a guy in the US who has recently redone his V12V in Gulf colours

And there is this one!

I notice that this car still has a number plate plinth.
Hope this doesn't mean the owner will be cast out as a leper until "the deed" is done?eek

It might be, but with different number plates being displayed.

Could the owner have selected the, 'James Bond Revolving Number Plate' option?

Don't be upset Chris. Your opinion should be accepted as such.

Your profile puzzles me, because I don't think your DB9 has a plinth.

More likely because he had an '007' - but then saw the light and got a real good one!!

Far from it! I was merely pointing out its actual intended dual function and the unintended (and maybe for some) undesirable consequence of plinth removal.

If mine had a plinth when I acquired it, it would have stayed: It didn't! Mines not a daily, so I have style over practicality.laugh

Gibberish.

I have learnt something from you Chris.

I did not realise that the DB9 even had a plinth, but I now see that it's position does not obscure the grille outline. Perhaps that is why I had not noticed it. With the Vantage, the plinth is above the base of the grille.

Tried to see if the DB9.2 and Vanquish have the plinth, but am not sure.

Mikey, thanks for all the photos - not exactly a new idea then! I think I'll save the Gulf colour scheme for another car and keep the Vantage pearlescent white afterall smile
