Hi has anyone actually fitted front aftermarket sensors to a vantage? I'm loathed to have a firm that is used to adding these to repmobiles come and chop into my car and do a dodgy paint job on the sensors so they flake. But I've seen you can get hidden sensors that a strip fits inside the bumper, no chopping or painting.......

Anyone fitted these strip sensors or can give recommendation in north for someone to do a good job otherwise.

I've never really understood why anyone wants front parking sensors. Get some cones, place them around the front of your car, and learn where the extremities are.

That way you won't rely on an electronic nanny and you'll save money and hacking into your lovely Aston.

Ask James @ Paralight Trackaphone. If anyone can do it, it will be him (and I think that he travels).

Spoken with James and he's given me some good advice and some cautions too plus offered an alternative to sensors by using a camera. Thanks James.

Have a look at a Vantage with the OM sensors fitted. They mount below the bumper so no visible holes to be drilled. I'm sure a competent auto spark could wire these in somehow. They can't be that expensive, from memory they are only a £350 upgrade on a new car.

My car came with an after market Kenwood camera system which seems very good and the controls are all hidden in the coin tray. I can safely say I've never used it... maybe I will at somepoint

There are also two mounted in the bumper, or least mine has.
