Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times, but I haven't been able to find a definitive answer on this.

Can anyone help me with how much (approximately) an official AM warranty extension would be? I will be looking in the near future at approved used, so thinking about the future after the first year is up.

Is a monthly option available, and does it make more sense than the annual one (perhaps like the BMW Mondial warranty, which goes up in price after 60k miles)?

Thanks for any help.

Hmmm, your googoofu skills seem to be a bit lacking. wink

You've got 2 options: 'Extended Warranty - Premium' and 'Extended Warranty - Plus'.

A quick call to any AM dealer will give you the current price. IIRC, there isn't a monthly option. The last prices that I seem to recall were £1300 and £1800.

If you are buying 'used approved', try asking for a second or third year of warranty (as part of the negotiation). Lots/most AM dealers won't budge on price.

Interesting, thanks. I'd be happy with a good deal that came with three years of warranty built in. Do many offer that length of extension?

I'd be looking at the lower end of the market, so I guess I'm never going to get the best of deals, but warranty would be my key focus so I can concentrate on enjoying the car!

Two years is definitely achievable, 3 years would be ambitious. It all depends on how much the dealer wants to sell the car.

And the warranty won't provide you will 'worry free' motoring. Lots of obvious items aren't covered (due to the interpretation of 'wear and tear' or 'trim' etc). A quick search on here will provide you with plenty of warranty related horror stories.

May be slightly different as I would be renewing an existing AM Premium warranty but HR Owen yesterday quoted me £1427.99 to renew mine. It was £1400 last year (for the fourth year of the car).

True, but as far as warranties go, its still a very good one.
