Just jumped in the car to go collect the missus and as I pulled off my right leg got all wet!! My car is normally always parked in the garage, however today it was parked in the driveway for a change and typically as always in Scotland it is raining.

How is the windscreen fitted - is it bonded or a rubber seal?

Bonded.

I think it is glued in.

B****cks so that means I will need to get it removed and re-bonded? Wonder if windscreen insurance will cover it?

Are you sure it's the windscreen?

Had mine replaced as it chipped and cracked.

Surprised yours hasn't. whistle

Did you have that same premonition about my unfortunate days drive this weekend that resulted in a bad stone chip that the frost then cracked it overnight!!

Could it not be the side window seal or a blocked drain somewhere?

I had exactly the same symptoms a while ago, on one of my daily drivers. Will mention it to you, in the hope that your water ingress might have the same simple cure.

Whether it is the same on our Astons I don't know, but water running down the windscreen was channeled to the nearside of the car, and was then supposed to pass through a rubber flap. As soon as leaf debris was removed from the blocked flap, problem solved.

Good luck.

I had a similar problem and I just used some clear silicone from B&Q to remedy it.

What works for a Vauxhall Corsa should suffice for an Aston yes

The water ingress is at the top of the windscreen and is coming in where the sun visor bracket is.

Are you covered for punctures?

Sounds like the perfect excuse to chop it in for a new V12S Roadster. She'll understand.
