Interesting day back in the Midlands I remember taking a similar pic of a Austin Healey sprite when I attended there 27 years later the college has long since closed my car status has since improved a smidge , that said I loved my old Healey !
Also looked at Stratstone Aston Dealers and Paul Matty Lotus nearby .

I think people with an art/ design background appreciate the subtle but perfect proportions of these cars !
I do remember one lecturer who had his doubts about me after I passed out during a nude life drawing class, something I normally stayed awake for !
But it was my 18th birthday and Earlier I had been dared to down a Bottle of Scotch during our extended liquid lunch I subsequently had a lecture on alcoholism .
But I turned out ok ....... Ish ;-)

That's a great idea. I still have a school report somewhere....... "Little Donkey has failed to reach his potential again this term returning very average results. Must try harder as I can't see him engaging in any form of meaningful career in the future".

Hmmm, now should I take the DB7 or the DBS??

Now there's a thought! In fact my school is having events to mark its 125th year this summer, so it's certainly tempting to rock up in the Aston. But I don't think any of the teachers who thought I would never amount to anything are still there.

Not that I'm bitter or anything...

My most memorable school report was the summation by the headmaster. It read 'his work is good as far as it goes, but it doesn't go far, does it'.

Neat idea for a thread though.

From my A-level German teacher, "you will amount to nothing more than a street fighter ". Well, she got the last bit right I guess...

To be clear you bunch of tossers......I failed all of my A-Levels as Svetlana kept picking me up at lunchtime leaving me with little energy/concentration for the afternoon lessons.

Seems I have started a bit of a thread :-)
I remember at School being told I would never earn any money If I went to Art College and I should consider being an Architect or Mathematician ( my other strong subjects ) but I wanted some more fun in my life which Art college provided :-)
I also remember the teacher who told me that was driving around in a 1.0 Metro ( which made me think, how could I ever take this guy seriously ) ???

I knew I wanted an Aston from being a small child ! I have owned a lot of nice fast, cool & classic cars but this really is a Land Mark and its hard to describe to people exactly how special the car feels ! but I am sure you guys would understand that feeling ............
