Problem with a dual clutch in my Vantage
Discussion
Hi all!
I have installed a twin plate clutch and doesn´t work. I assumed that the clutch relearn calibrate it but didn´t work and I did it with the AC off, press the brake pedal and turn on ignition, wait for about ten seconds until a "click2 sounds and repeat the operation for 3 or 4 times.
My question is about if the relearn is to compensate the wear of the clutch or also can calibrate increments as when you put a new clutch. In Lambos you need to use the official diagnosis to do that so Im wondering that I have to do the same with the Aston MArtin diagnosis tool AMDS
Go to a dealer is not possible, the problem is that I live in a island in the front of Africa 1300 km by ship far away from Spain mainland so I have to solute this by my own

Have you had to bleed the system? AMDS does have a clutch bleed operation if you lost fluid removing the gearbox/torque tube.
Was this a direct replacement - ie is the height of the pressure plate release fingers the same as the original and/or does the slave cylinder need or have a spacer behind it?

Hello guys! Thank you for your opinione
Yes, I asked them and do whatever they told me but doesn´t work. I purge well all the air inside of the hidraulic system, put the spacer, revise all the electric conector, make sure there is presurre in the system, everything and doesn´t work. At last there is only one thing that could occur and its that I need the AMDS, as I haven´t a dealer near a friendo of mine enter into the TCU and doing a few things I didn´t understand it make the calibration (clutch kiss) with the software of another car so now it works! Now Im going to change the software of the TCU so Im gonna solve the damm dog head movement when upload a shift, if someone have a Sportshift II or III gearbox will help a lot and
