I have been with the AA for many years but just got my renewal and it is ridiculous.
Can you please recommend a cheaper and reliable alternative that includes Home Start.

Their renewal is always inflated.

Have you checked their website for the same package (i.e for a new customer), they will usually match this price.

I get cover through the bank for the one car out of warranty, but I've seen deals using Tesco and Nectar points if you have any knocking around which that might be a way to fund it. I think Tesco is something like £32 in their vouchers for RAC individual roadside and recovery.
£48 including homestart

The AA quote for Roadside,Home Start, Relay and Family Cover was £346.83
Are they avinalarf or what ?
Thinking of not bothering and giving a couple of my Ladyboys a shout to come out and push me home.

As woolders pointed out, you get it free with the bank account (so do I).

It's cheaper to have the account than pay £346 per year and it covers all household vehicles smile

Ps. Whats with the constant ladyboy references biggrin

I also get it free from the Nationwide.

It was worth opening a Nationwide Flex Plus joint account just to get: UK & European breakdown cover, worldwide travel insurance, mobile phone insurance and extended warranty on everything we buy. For both of us. All for £10 a month.

Result. biggrin

I have that account ,thank you I'll look into that.
For the record online AA quote is £205 for similar cover (RAC the same).
Thing is did not want a cheapie that did not perform when required,(that's the breakdown service, not the Ladyboy).
(Look away Sukh).

Try GEM - not had to use the service he says touching wood but they seem highly commended and always in the top section in surveys - covers driver not.
