Has anyone done this? In the R8 an aftermarket company called german engineering offered a TCU remap of the shift settings for the R-tronic gearbox.

Everyone raved about how good it was, I never experienced it myself as I had the manual but I'm wondering if its available or been done?

On R8talk the consensus was it improved shift times, got rid of the lag and jerkiness from the factory settings on the upshift.

Have to say that I feel the same way about the asm as anything over 4k revs and its just ramming the thing in.

I'd look at this lightweight clutch that bamford offer but mine is only 4k miles old.

Any thoughts? Yes, I know all about shift and lift smile Have been practicing relentlessly for 4k miles.

As you have spotted the only option currently seems to be a light weight clutch set up
IMHO ASM2 is pretty good anyway
