Nice car.

Just spent a day on the track with the new Coupe. Summary: Nice car, but I like the Vantage better on the street and the Corvette better on the track.

I've always liked the Jaguars, but somehow they always end up being the #2 choice.

Funny that Rob - we were just talking about you earlier and wondering if you still had the Vanquish?

We had some fun with the F Type range at Millbrook about 3 weeks ago. Performs and handles brilliantly, but its not an Aston (up to you if you see that as a good thing or a bad thing wink )

PS Your mega fit event you are doing in the Brecon Beacons at the end of the month - we will be passing that way around lunchtime so listen out for the sound of Aston thunder and think a) I'm glad I have an Aston b) I wish I still had my Aston or c) who needs an Aston when my F Type R doesn't sound too bad either biggrin

Hey Molly...

Vanquish sold, started writing a response but will create a new post. Will be in touch re the charity event, would be amazing if we do happen to bump into you guys (not literally....).

The F type R was awesome and has left me very interested.

The Jag does look nice and seems to get great reviews so I can only assume it drives great, however, for me it doesn't look as perfect as a Vantage, and it just isn't an Aston Martin is it now wink

Molly and I have both driven the Type R Coupe. Dynamically it is streets ahead of our Vantage S no question . My problem with the car it is without doubt not such a nice place to be. I tried just sitting in one on my own and remember thinking that it was no Aston Martin. My other problem is that despite initial issues the factory, works service and H.R. Owen have been marvellous in keeping the magic of ownership totally alive. Every now and then I have a dalliance with another brand but until something drastic happens I am resolved to be proud to say that I am a Aston Martin man! smile

Drove to Silverstone and back on Saturday , arrived back in Hereford only to find having refuelled that the battery was flat. AM assist got us going. Turns out the battery is knackered at 11 months old! Joy of joys!

I guess you don't think it's a backward step as yours and a DBS volante are dearer to buy 5 years on.
I love the car but that thought nags me however I've not drove one so my opinion may differ somewhat when I finally get to drive one.
