Is there much of difference between the two? I'm struggling to notice a difference in photos.

Meteorite is a bit darker, but you are correct not much difference.

Quantum is a multilayered paint and to my eye is much more interesting under sunlight than Meteorite.

Would you say the carbon bonnet vents are a lot less visible on the Meteorite than the Silver?

Meteorite is also (according to Aston) silver!

The bonnet vents blend in pretty well.

Meteorite Silver was used in the launch brochure and it has remained one of the the most popular choices since 2005, Quantum came out on the DBS first on Mr Bond's car biggrin if you see them side by side Quantum has strong hints of dark brown, while Meteorite has extra dark steel grey, you can't go wrong with either. Quantum does show the dirt slightly less (because of that brown tint!) so looks better when dirty-ish and it blends even better with the V12V bonnet vents, but ultimately the choice is down to personal taste. smile

I popped into Aston Martin Welwyn today - Saw 2 lovely V12V's outside, so if anyone on here owns one, then you have a stunning car!

I checked the colour board, and Meteorite actually looked a little lighter than Quantum which I was surprised about. I just want the bonnet vents to be visibly enough that it's obvious you have a V12 approaching in your rearview!

Best.

I have a tungsten V8S and parked it next to a Grigio Titanio (Ferrari colour) V12S at HWM a few months ago. I have to say the Grigio is the best colour I've seen on an Aston. All personal taste of course. Vents looked good on that. Does anyone on here own that car?

Meteorite is lighter. I parked next to a Quantum V12V at the Star at Harome last summer and my car was lighter in colour.

I had the choice of two otherwise almost identical spec Quantum and Metorite stock V12Vs when I bought my first one. I choose Meteorite in the end which I thought was more blue-grey, whereas Quantum looks a more brown-grey when side by side - but to be honest I would have been very happy with either as the difference is slim.

Here are a couple of pics of my first Meteorite V12V - as you can see the bonnet vents do blend in very well indeed and the colour can look different depending on the light...

Too well perhaps!? 90% of people would probably think that's a V8 with "a massive set of rims" now! :P

(Fabulous looking car in my opinion of course)

Funny. I looked at a Morning Frost car, but thought it a bit much and went fro Meteorite.

Any thoughts on Hammerhead silver whilst we're on the topic of silver/grey's ?

I narrowed it down to Tungsten or Hammerhead with my V8S. Hammerhead seems to have some green in it under certain lighting. In the end I went for tungsten because it's a mid grey, (come on - Aston's have to be grey smile). It's not too dark as to show the dirt and swirl marks, and to me it's the best colour for a Vantage to show off the car's lines. I did consider Grigio, but didn't want to pay the extra. Bottom line is that you'll probably be very happy with any of those greys, unless you want to make a statement and go for a bolder colour. All very personal.......
