Pleased for him and his family

I've hoped they've been low balling the news and he's further ahead in recovered than they're prepared to tell us. Even if they are I think all we can really hope for is that he and his family recover some quality of life.
I watched an uncle pass away over the course of a week from a brain hemorrhage and the not knowing, the drawn out hope followed by disappointment, even over that short time, are incredibly draining for all.
But lets hope it really is good news; it is almost certainly a welcome change for his family that he's somewhere different.
