I thought it was digital prototype not design prototype but looking at a few of the articles, both expressions are used - design prototype seems to be used in more of the news snippets

We just need a wealthy individual to commission one a la CC100 and the types of things Ferrari have been doing with one offs recently...............unfortunately the mid engine layout may not make that very practical :-)

Other companies have done similar.

Here's BMW: http://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/news/00_5736688.htm...

And Citroen: http://www.citroen.co.uk/about-us/concept-cars/cit... (Although this has actually gone 'full circle' and actual cars have been built. $2.1m a pop!)

Edited to add: Actually, lots and lots of companies have done the same. This link covers them all (with lots of images etc): http://www.gran-turismo.com/sg/products/gt6/vgt/

That looks horrible. Nothing about the design makes me think Aston Martin. Really hope they don't make that.

George as you are typical of Generation Z - attention span of a gnat, so won't read a whole article, let me help you. Article says:-

DP stands for Design Prototype and this concept car is destined to remain a digital-only experience

Aston Martin Design Director says:-

Reichman said details such as the 'blade' inspired rear lamps would trickle through to production cars.

So its not real, its not the future of Astons, but we might see some new lights - where the idea has been knicked from a Maserati 3200

Shades of Ford GT90, anyone? Maybe it's just the tiny LED headlights.

Project Bulldog.... +34 years. Looks fantastic to my eyes, just as Bulldog did way back when. Great PR, keeps positive stories about AM going.
