help - AMV8V heater always on

Hi All... need some help from the oracles on here.

I have a 56 plate V8V and I have noticed that the heating as always on (a recent problem), cant switch it off. it’s not blowing a gale but is very noticeable. not sure if something has stuck a servo or something or something electrical has ballsed up. if i put it to cold and turn the fan off it is still hot.

aircon works but can tell if it’s just over powering the hot feed when it’s on

it’s not so much an issue in the winter but jees it aint half hot when the suns out and you haven’t got the aircon on.

any help appreciated

From the description it could be the mixer flap that blends hot and ambient air. Maybe try changing the blend (change temperature from 100% cold to max hot a few times? No idea if it will, but could unstick it.

Could be electronic rather than a mechanical glitch too. I had a folding mirror that got out of sync, just folding and unfolding it a few times fixed it. Tried one day, didn't help, tried next day on request of dealer, it was cured after a couple of goes, and it's been fine since.
