Heated seat problem
Discussion
After the success of sorting my rattles, I fear moving my seat all the way forward (Jockers style) to get my arms into the dash has knackered something.
The rear heat panel on the drivers seat now gets very very hot. I've popped fuse 85 until I figure out what I need to do. I've found the two previous threads on this, both refer to a relay - which is what I suspect I've knackered somehow. I've circled what I think it is on the pic below - can anyone suggest if it can easily be replaced or do I need to pop it in to Trinity. Also, is there something under the seat I can unplug to isolate the heating bit so I can retain the electrical movement?
Cheers! Kris

Sure it's not something to do with moving it all the way forward, bit of coincidence if not.
Have you checked all the connectors look OK?
Exactly that - I think moving the seat forwards / up has caught something on the carpet and disconnected / broken it. Trying to figure that out from the mass of wires is "challenging", I've tried prodding / pushing the connectors Have you checked all the connectors look OK?

I've subsequently found out at it's fuse 60/61 for the heating circuit. So another round with the tweezers tonight and a play with what looks like the relay after that.

It eventually started draining the battery and messing with the tracker

Wilmslow eventually fixed it after much faffing, it needed a new seat loom and base as it had been installed badly and was stretching it causing shorts and bad connections

I don't know what type of connectors are under there, but carefully check each one is fully pushed home. Both parts plug/socket) should sit parallel and not on the skew. Check each wire is fully inserted in the plug, they should all look the same. Check there is not another connector hidden somewhere, under the carpet maybe.
Sorry not much help, but at least you will eliminate the obvious stuff.
