I haven't seen a car in the flesh yet. Can you get a large suitcase on the shelf behind the seats please?

Many thanks.

I occasionally put an iPad on it, which leaves room for the mrs handbag.

A large suitcase? No. But there is room for two soft duffel bags.

The large suitcase could go in the boot. Along with a suit carrier and a couple of smaller bags.

At least in the coupe. The roadster is a different question.

Just arrived in Italy with everything needed for a 2 week holiday in the Vantage including a lot of non essentials like snacks, kettle etc. car has died when it arrived but hey ho.
We had 2 rucksacks behind the seats for overnight stops but could have fitted a lot more if required, that is a coupe though roadster has a much smaller boot area.

Ahh, shame.

I thought it might be accessible with the boot open.

Do they take a roof rack?

Ah, right. Gotcha.

Instead of a large suitcase or a roof rack, why not just tow a caravan? rolleyes

What are you looking to carry? I thought for the type of car it is the Vantage has plenty of luggage capacity.

It is. But it's easier with big suitcase in the boot. Take the shelf out, fill up boot then put big suitcase on top / on the gearbox.

Two large suitcases.

Thought one would go in the boot, and the other behind the seats. I do this with the BMW 3 series convertible but have to put the roof down to get the suitcase in the rear.

Depends on height / width of suitcases. We use lots of soft luggage

Why does it need to be two large suitcases. We go touring in Europe for a couple of weeks and fit everything in the roadster which has lots less room than a coupe. As has been said use soft luggage and take a few bags. The compromise is worth it.

Very true, I could change to several smaller soft pieces of luggage.
