Anyone got factory fitted DAB in their Vantage and can report if it is any good? Mine is having trouble even with picking up BBC National which my DAB indoors can pick up with a piece of wet string. Interested if it is poor in the Aston or broken. AM/FM is fine

Thanks

There won't be many with it as it was only introduced this year. Not much help to you I'm afraid.

In other cars I've had with dab it's generally ok with just a few know dead spots. If it happens over a wide area then it does sound right

Morning John,

For what its worth I have Dab now and it does drop out, that said the overall reception across all the bands is better than my previous model the 13 plate Roadster.

Could it be worse in a Vantage I don't know but from the 9 point of view its reasonable, still no 8 track mind…….thumbup

John,

The DAB in YM14 Vantage is fine. It holds reception better than the one in my porker which is always dropping out and flashes up "data loading". I think it depends on area but I have not had a problem with the DAB.

iPhone connectivity for playing music...now that is crap. Always not picking up next track etc

Hmm OK thanks both. I am having trouble with BBC National on my drive which the Audi is rock solid on. I will reserve judgement for now. I will not be streaming any music from a phone I just have an old iPod plugged in which seems to work well enough. FM radio is OK as well but would be nice to listen to the cricket not on AM/

Talking of phones, is there a way to get the steering wheel control on the back of the wheel to default to scroll through last ten calls dialled rather than all of the contacts? You can select it in the phone menu and then srcroll but that is a few button pushes.

Son has a BMW with DAB fitted, it's always dropping out too.
Yours is probably not just because it's an Aston one.

I've got it and can't say I have had any problems at all for what it's worth.

Think you press the phone button on the steering wheel buttons and then you scroll through last ten with toggle behind the wheel IIRC.
