Finally got round to changing the fuse for the interior 12v accessory socket.
Peeled back passenger footwell carpet, removed panel with torx head ratchet.... hmmm which fuse???
It was actually Fuse 39 which did the trick, on a 2006 coupe manual if anyone else is stuck.
Off to Evo Triangle in Wales on Friday with my iphone 5 and FM Transmitter (£22.49 Halfrauds). Oh and Burghley next Sunday... happy times ahead

Is that the fuse for the socket where the ash tray would be in front of the arm rest?

On the old style arm rest yes, under a small flap near gear lever, 2006. The newer style interior may be different, 2009 onwards I think.

Cheers blown mine so now I know which one to change (the manuals are useless for this!)
