Did the PDC @ Millbrook today...
Discussion
Went to Millbrook today to do the Performance Driving Course... absolutely awesome day, really learnt a lot about the car's capabilities.
If you've been on the fence about doing it I would highly recommend it. Makes you realise what phenomenal machines we own!
Thanks Paul if you're reading... top notch experience

What were your feelings getting back in yours afterwards? Is it enough to casually start checking the classifieds?
I did the PDC last month; V12S for me too.
To be honest, I was happy to get back in my manual V12.
As much as I enjoyed the V12S, I certainly had no thoughts of trading my V12 (and a very large chunk of change) to swap to the "S".
I was pleasantly surprised at this as I was worried that it might have been the most expensive day out ever.
No, I wouldn't swap mine for an S, pretty sure the 'standard' V12 would be just as much fun and just as capable. The S is definitely a better track car, but purely because the paddle shift is quicker than the manual box and allows you to keep you hands on the wheel. For my abilities either car is more than adequate and would take me a long time to master either, if ever!
I prefer the manual on the public road, it feels more engaging and you can't really use the paddles to their full potential on the road, IMHO.
If I was fortunate enough to be able to afford a car purely for the track, then yes, I would get an S for the job.
The PDC is a full day, you effectively drive on 7 'tracks' doing tight cornering, skid pan & understanding the DSC capabilities, braking on different surfaces, straight line performance (acceleration & braking), the bowl and 2 separate mini-tracks (1 like a mini nurburgring) where you really get to open the car up. Well, I thought I was opening it up until Paul showed me how it's properly done! Just an experience you can't do on the road. I'm seriously considering making it an annual treat for myself.
(I might get some glass switches for my V12V though, that's the main thing I noticed about the interior when getting back into mine, tiny detail, but they finish it nicely).
