I have owned my V12 Vantage for six weeks now and enjoying it. I have one minor issue though,
When I put fuel in the car the petrol hose is always kicking back to suggest that the tank is full. It takes ages to put fuel in and I usually put around 25 litres in then giving up. I have tried moving the pump trigger to different positions but this doesn't make any difference. Is anyone else having this issue?

In my experience (I've had mine for 4 years) there is a best position for the filler unit is with the finger guard pointing across the right hand side of the car. All the other orientations are problematic.

I've always found that between 7 and 8 o'clock works best, but even then it can be a bit frustrating,

I was a 7-8 o'clock person. Seemed to work better than any other position.

The trick is, not to shove it all the way in, so to speak! There is a slight rim on the top part of the filler opening, if you rest the pump on that it will flow fine. If you put the pump all the way down the filler opening it will keep cutting out a lot.

So pull it out a bit and it should be fine!

(had exactly the same 'problem' with mine when I first got it)

I use this method for filling my DB9,works for me.......
You put your right hand in
Your right hand out
In, out, in, out
Shake it all about.
You do the hokey-cokey
And you turn around.
That’s what it’s all about. smile

Michael,you are a lad.
Poor old Jack ( Gary ) posts a perfectly reasonable question and you post a humorous comment, not terribly helpful unless, like you,one lives off ones wife's inheritance.
Refer to my post for a perfect example of helpful information.
ALSO PEDANT ALERT....spelling mistake,it's servant.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Off to Chichester next weekend so will try the alternatives as suggested.

Still surprised that the V12 seems slightly more economical than the V8.
