Overtaking a Audi and there was a very loud bang!!

Followed by more loud noises, a burning smell, and smoke!!

So I stopped and looked under the bonnet to see oil dripping out and a hissing sound.

Had a very similar experience while overtaking a Subaru Impreza (not relevant)massive bang and then graunching noise. I thought I had blown the gearbox or engine. Pulled over onto grass verge, got out expecting to see oil everywhere, none. To my relief the front Carbon splitter had come off and was dragging under car. As it was one from the recent Oya Carbon spoilers order from China the damage to my pocket was not too bad....

Yep, that's an Audi air con compressor. Unbelievable that someone would throw that at another car.

yes i am sure i have been called a font before. least it sounded like that.

what i think is funny is our overtaking audi friend posted this then nothing more.
he has gone.
disappeared from the face.
