Well unlocked the car yesterday and I heard a crack and a noise of something smashing!

Then I found the above and the mirror glass on the floor mad

So a few questions?

Is this easy to repair?

Where would I purchase the part from?

If it is easy, can someone give me an idiots guide of how to repair/replace the part?

Any help would be great, thanks.

Easy, It's the same glass used by Volvo (V70?). Don't think the total cost was even £15, peel off any residue, heat it up with a hair dryer apply some wing mirror sticky pads to secure and good as new.

This happened to mine about 6 months ago, part was +- £45 from HWM ( I didn't realise the Volvo part was the same part ).

Same thing happened on my 07 V8V earlier this year, I bought the Volvo part on eBay for £6, and just stuck it on.

PS It just sticks on with some adhesive strips it has at the back. 3,000 miles later, it's still there, so the adhesive must be pretty good.

I knew there had to be an advantage of not having Powerfold mirrors on mine.
