DB9 - Pre Purchase Inspection - West Sussex Area
Discussion
I have seen a private DB9 that I really like the look of - have driven it and all seems fine but I just can't bite the bullet until I have had an inspection done.
Can anyone recommend who to use? Will they go down to the car or does the car need to go in to them? Are these guys any good?

Also this car has missed an annual service as follows:
Miles 25k 12-03-2012 (AM dealer)
and next one was done at
Miles 41,447 on 30/05/2014 (Bamford Rose)
Is this a deal breaker? The car is priced lower than market value to take this in to consideration.

It's hardly the end of the world (or the end of the deal!) The car was either 2 months, or 6k, late for the service. Miles 25k 12-03-2013 (AM dealer)

I would contact Bamford Rose to get their opinion on the car. They only worked on it a few months ago.

Nopes, it was 14 months late and 6k late. I would contact Bamford Rose to get their opinion on the car. They only worked on it a few months ago.

I use very similar fully synthetic 'best you can buy' oil for my Aston as I do for my 535D. Filthy twin turbo thing does 17,000 miles minimum on the stuff...
I think there may be some nonsense on these short service intervals - especially on an usually rather low annual mileage car...

Hmm so the forum consensus seems to say the missed service is no big deal.....interesting that
Missing a service isn't going to kill a car (see above!) Missing all services is obviously another matter though.Condition is far more important. Just be aware that when you come to sell, you will be reducing your number of prospective buyers. Some people wouldn't consider buying an AM without a full service history. You might also struggle if you want to warranty the car. I don't know what the AM small print says but lots of warranty policies state that the car must be serviced in line with the manufacturers schedule. This car hasn't been.

Just to add to this. I purchased my car from an AM dealer with 12 months warranty and FSH. I only discovered the missing service 6 months down the line but frankly couldn't care less, as you say, the condition was far more important to me. A couple of warranty claims were paid without question.Condition is far more important. Just be aware that when you come to sell, you will be reducing your number of prospective buyers.
