It's been a while.....
Discussion
Hi All,
It's been a while since I was last here, since I outed my V8VR SS due to it beginning to look like a bit of a dog (my car....not in general).
Bought it privately and had problems from day one. I just couldn't get on with the SS at all, even after 1200 miles.....just wasn't for me around town. Then there was the electrical burning smell in the cabin (not the clutch), dodgy fitting roof and then the famous timing cover leak. Needless to say I thought better of it and shifted it for a not too bad £1500 loss (it was early June so summer coming). Hey, £1500 for 1200 miles seemed reasonable.
Anyway, i'm now in the market for a manual coupe this time, hence the post.
I'm currently negotiating on a 2013 Coupe, great spec, minimal miles and from a dealer (although not on the Aston approved used site for some reason). We're down to the finer points and the long and short of it is I think we're going to be at £65k.
I personally think that's a good price, however before I do the deal I thought I'd ask what other people think of that ? Everything will continue to loose money I know, but I think buying at 65k would put me in a reasonably safe place (if that makes sense).
Any thoughts or input would be appreciated.
Cheers
