I forgot to mention after bringing the car home for the first time the other day about the sat nav voice. How can I change it?? what a terrible bossy voice. Unless I can change it then I'm going to stick my TomTom on the screen instead, which is a bit silly. I'd guess there is an upgrade CD out there somewhere ?

Can't help right now on the 'how to' but know what you mean... I settled on the bloke's voice as it sounds much better than the girl. More like Jeeves!

Agree. Bloke for sat nav. The girl on the phone system is however quite nice.

I just switch 'er off completely and glance over when I need to. No nag pie that way.

But for the sat nav, I keep it on the bloke's voice.

Quickly gave up on the sat nav and use the iPhone. It"s a 2010 car with a first generation sat nav. I shudder to think of the option cost....

Only 2 voices, male or female.

Not any better with updated discs.

Cost in excess of 1500 quid.

Set it to the male voice. Reminds me of Terry-Thomas.

I say!

Seriously...has anyone taken the screen out and popped a 5" TomTom in there (somehow) that houses a nice SIM data card? So tempted.

I saw a post on here a while back where someone got the screen out and put a Garmin satnav (a decent one, not the one AM provides in the newer models) in, but it was quite a mission.

I have switched mine to the French girl, much better.

The owner was in New Zealand. It was done by his dealer IIRC but we didnt get all the details. It didn't mute stereo like the AM one does.
