Manual V12 Vantage - tootling around town yesterday. Parked the car for ten minutes, got back in, depressed clutch and inserted key into ignition. The dash lit up as normal, with all gauges functioning, no warning lights/messages, but the motor didn't turn over - just a faint electrical hum. Wasn't far from Aston dealership - they arrived with a portable battery charger, but that wasn't the problem. Had to have it trucked to the dealer - interesting getting it on the flat-bed as couldn't unlock the steering column.

Any thoughts?

Possibly the switch that senses the clutch pedal is depressed got disconnected or out of adjustment so it wouldn't let the engine turn over.

Or a problem with the ECU dock.

I've had this, but then I've tried a few times more and it's starts.

Let us know what they find!

Well, turned out to be a combination of problems, a) a failed battery kill switch, and b)a faulty ignition docking station, both of which have been replaced. Part b) is rather expensive. These seem somewhat unusual issues to me.
