my understanding, could be wrong, is that any car company owns the silhouette 10 years after last model was sold. This is what stops companies putting cars in 3d scanner and making a body kit / kit car build, unless you are in china scamming a bmw! One could argue the car here is so out of proportion it bares no resemblance to the Vanquish silhouette. But slapping the badge on i would of thought, was not done in a fair business practice because from association the act of putting badge on car seeks to improve desire / resale value. But if body maker didn't provide the badge and it was sourced privately by enthusiastic individual, and an individual is selling the car now not a company and individual put badge on, then might be OK. But for a case to stand any chance in court they would have to demonstrate economic loss from this product and perhaps that's a stretch too far! Without that a snotogram from a solicitor would be just bully boy tactics which I'm sure they are well practiced in, so should do the trickEdited by michael gould on Friday 17th October 08:36
