After 12 momths of trouble free motoring it was a bit of a shock to find the warning lights on the dash all light up when putting the car back in the garage after washing on Saturday. After the initial panic' subsided I searched past postings on PH and discovered that this is probably down to either battery or convertible roof module.
According to the battery conditioner thie battery isfine so hence the CRM is the prime suspect.
At the moment everythig seems to have returned to normal but I suspect this will happen again sooner rather than later. I am going to get the module changed as a precautionery measure but my question is if it occurs before the module is replaced does pulling fuse 10 resolve the issue as a temporary measure?

I wouldn't worry too much about a single instance of a warning.

^^^^^^^ bad advice

the glitch you have had shows module is suspect, a glitch like this followed by period of working fine, then death of module is normal method of failure.

sods law you will put roof down and then module fails leaving you stranded.

if you pull back trim above rear lamp drivers side, put hand in as far up, then as far forward as you can, you should then be able to feel connectors of loom to module. Pull them off and you keep all other functionality whilst removing module from the loop, you will get no other error messages.

Yep - same thing happened to me. A few weeks of temperamental roof action. Then zilch. Fortunately, the roof was closed when it finally failed. If you unplug the module as Mike suggests, it stops the dashboard lighting up like a Christmas Tree when the module does eventually fail.

So is this module accessed from the wheel arch or the boot?
If it die is a new one plug & play or does it need AMDS to set it up?

I had to replace the roof module on my car in June, the module is £500 inc VAT and I am sure they had to code the new module once fitted
