The Emission Service indicator now appears on a regular basis when i drive my car (every 2-3 days)
I have an OBD code reader which enables me to reset the MIL light but I am intending to replace the suspect O2 sensors.
The two codes that appear regularly to trip the MIL Emission Service Light are detailed below

P0133 - O2 Sensor CKT Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0153 - O2 Sensor CKT Slow Response (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

Would anyone know which of the 4 O2 sensors these code refer to?
Are they the two at the front end of the Cats or at the rear of the Cats?

Thanks in advance

Sensor 1 is the upstream sensor, and your codes are for both banks of the V8. sounds like a heater circuit issue - have you checked all the fuses. There could be a blown fuse for the circuit that feeds the lambda sensor heater circuit, and you'll end up with this code.

I have a similar problem, but the ODB reader I have can only reset & not give me the actual fault codes. Could you please advise which ODB reader you use?

I use this one from ebay at circa £10 delivered.

This one shows the codes that have caused the MIL light to trip

Got my local garage to fit the two new upstream HEGO sensors (as Aston call them) to the cats on my V8 Vantage Roadster.
Fingers crossed no more Emission Service Required lights

Do you have any modifications on the car?

No mechanical mods, only external cosmetics to upgrade the look to the later spec.
So far no more P133 and P153 codes recorded although its early days yet.

My car passed its MOT'd last week and within 2/3 mins after driving off from the MOT centre the emission service light came on. Decided to take the advice of our forum and bought an ODB reader £10'ish from Amazon. Even a complete novice like me managed to find the socket and reset the fault code. Thanks to everyone who contributed.

Just keep a note on the codes and reset, if you get the same code repeatedly coming back over many months it needs investigating

Ive had 2 sensors go on my 2006 car in the last few years, they are about £75 ea on ebay and cost me an hours labour at a local garage. Cleared down the codes and all is well again

for future reference;

Bank 1 is driver side/cyl 1-4
Bank 2 is pax side/cyl 5-8

Sensor 1 is upstream before cat
Sensor 2 is downstream after cat

Had a similar story on my DB9.. Had it at the local garage for the aircon to be regassed and 2 minutes after leaving the Emmissions light came on. Must be something to do with the cars sat idling for ages, maybe not enough head in a short enough time to get everything up to temperature. I was going to France and had a whole week of the warning light being on - did not clear on its own but the magic obdc tool let me clear the code and it's not come back.
